Work underway on £170,000 beach erosion scheme
COUNCIL bosses in South Tyneside are not letting the grass grow under their feet in a bid to protect the borough’s coastline from erosion.

In reverse, plants that shed their leaves can allow sun in during winter and reduce the cost of heating bills.
Plants can scrub dirty water which can then be recycled as 'grey' water which can be used for flushing loos or watering plants.
