Work underway on £170,000 beach erosion scheme
COUNCIL bosses in South Tyneside are not letting the grass grow under their feet in a bid to protect the borough’s coastline from erosion.

Plant displays can be used for shading and cooling (saving money on the size of air conditioning systems).
In reverse, plants that shed their leaves can allow sun in during winter and reduce the cost of heating bills.
